Edgar Degas
My name is Nancy Resing and I have been living at the beaches area for over 2 years. I used to have a boutique in a suburb outside of Chicago and ran that for over 6 years before arriving here. My shop, hazyl had a signature scent that I enjoyed designing with my candle maker back in Chicago. After moving here I decided to try making diffusers in my down time, and really fell in love with creating the scents. I love the fact that there’s no flame or messy wax to deal with and that they last up to 9 months. Our scents are made with the highest quality ingredients and are custom blended by me. We offer a variety of scents and sizes with the most aromatic scents to fill any space in your room. I personally love the scent Grounded- mixed with cedar wood and lavendar.
Paulette is a Jacksonville Beach Native. She is married and has 2 adult kids. In this current phase of her life, Paulette enjoys repurposing items as a creative outlet. She sees potential in household decor items and re-envisions them to have a new lot in life. She has been a vendor at Seaside Shoppes for several years and enjoys getting to interact with our customers. Her favorite is to watch the faces of "newbies", those entering into the Shoppes for the very first time. The realization of the treasure trove of goodies they just discovered is so exciting. Seaside Shoppes is a unique and special place and she is thankful to be a part of such an amazing team of artists and makers.
Susan has lived in Jax/Neptune beach since 2009. After a 30+ year career in healthcare
administration, she is delighted to have the opportunity to create fused glass art and
share her photographs with others. Susan loves being part of the Seaside Shoppes
community of artists. Her space on the porch includes fused glass nightlights, votives,
suncatchers, trinket dishes, and decorative pieces. And, her photographs are available
as canvas wall art, matted and framed, and incorporated into mixed media pieces.
“Inspiration for my art comes from my love of the beach, sunrise over the ocean, flowers
and traveling to interesting places.” Susan is married (to Jess), devoted to her pup
(Rocky), and is grateful to have three wonderful sisters (plus their kids and grandkids).
Niki grew up in the UK but has lived for many years in Jacksonville, Florida. She is the Director of HR for a local non profit/Child Welfare Agency. Niki is a true “beach bum” and has spent many years traveling to, and exploring, exotic beaches. She worked in a diving center in the Red Sea, sailed yachts around the Greek Islands, and worked wherever kept her near the ocean. If she can’t be at the beach, her therapy is to paint it. Most of her paintings stem from her travels or an imagined version of them. Niki likes to share her paintings, hoping that others will find some tranquility in them.
I'm Donna Webb Kidd and I love being a part of the Seaside Shoppes family. I truly enjoy sourcing items that bring back the kid in me (being a kid in the 50's was just all that) I love Florida and have the largest collection of Florida tablecloths in NE Florida. I love a good find and travel to estate sales, tourise areas and enjoy bringing customers the vintage, farmhouse and coastal decor they desire. What I love most about Seaside Shoppes is that there are new items for customers to buy any time and when customer's make the perfect find and leave with smiles on their faces. I truly can't wait to get to the Shoppe to be inspired by the artists around me and to bring in my latest finds... that's what brings the biggest smiles to my face!
Shannon is the owner of Mystic Cornhole Company in Jacksonville, FL. She started making coastal art pieces out of leftover pallets when she noticed a pile of them stacking up at her shop. Already handy with tools, she cuts all of her pieces by hand with a jigsaw. She likes to experiment with techniques in painting, staining, and burning wood. She became part of the Seaside Shoppes co-op in 2023 and has since added furniture refurbishing to her space and cornhole boards and bags are available too!
I started painting 10 years ago and my first paintings were 5x5 inch miniatures of Key West cottages. The Florida Keys have been my inspiration. I have expanded my paintings to reclaimed wood or items found in nature as in miniature driftwood pieces. Some of my work may be animals that are more unusual or unique as my Beluga Whale. I paint angels and lovely crosses. I describe myself as a hobby artist. Art feeds my soul. You can find me at Seaside Shoppes on Tuesday mornings!
I was in the education field for more than 40 years. Near the end of my career, I started making jewelry as gifts for friends and family. When I retired, I needed to figure out my next adventure in life. I loved making jewelry so I thought maybe others would like to purchase my creations. I was an avid customer at Seaside Shoppes, so as I was shopping one day, I showed the manager some of my work, and I was accepted! I enjoy creating pieces I've never tried before. I branched out to make lanyards, beaded pens, eyeglass holders, garden stakes, keychains, and more. I'm always ready for a challenge.
I'm a late bloomer when it comes to knitting! I just learned about 2 years ago and realized the health benefits it had for me. After working a full day it is a wonderful way to unwind and the motions sometimes feel like a meditation. My puppy Blue likes how calm his mommy is as well when I knit! I am a little rogue and like to just play with the yarn and then decide what I am going to make with it. I am learning how to crochet which I know will increase my offerings, but for now I invite you to custom order blankets, pillows, hats, scarves, or whatever you're looking for as you think ahead to gifts this year. Thanks for supporting local artists!
Patty Beitler and Mary Clare Coyle formed a lasting friendship 22 years ago when they worked together in the virtual education field.
As creative types and beach-loving people, they wanted to incorporate the beach into their art. They both also love to entertain, so their
signature “Resin Wave Charcuterie Boards” was an obvious choice. Patty and Mary Clare started selling the resin boards at Seaside
Shoppes in 2023, and they have expanded to include: wine glasses, coasters, wine stoppers, TV trays, and more! Check out their Facebook
page @Crafting by the Sea. The resin charcuterie boards and wine glasses led Patty and Mary Clare to find locally sourced dip and drink mixes to add to the items
offered within their space at Seaside Shoppes.
Mary Clare is a Jacksonville native and although originally a Jersey girl, Patty has now lived in Jacksonville Beach for 22 years. Both
Patty and Mary Clair are avid Jaguar fans. Go Duval! Their commitment to the area includes volunteering and fundraising for Friends of Jacksonville Animals and the Live Like Larry Foundation.
Judy grew up in the Midwest, and after moving around the East Coast for a few years, she landed in Jacksonville almost 30 years ago. She has always dabbled in a variety of crafts, but after retiring a few years ago, she was able to explore her passion for mosaic art. She enjoys creating new designs on a variety of surfaces and especially loves that each piece is one of a kind. Her pieces range from small ornaments and coasters to very large concrete benches. She is delighted to be a part of the creative and talented artist community at Seaside Shoppes. Judy can be found working most Friday
afternoons where she enjoys visiting with customers as they experience the unique
shopping experience at Seaside Shoppes.
I started acrylic pouring 3 years ago, and my work is constantly changing! I love pouring on canvas and have been doing larger canvases. For the last year, I've been doing more resin and started to create jewelry. I continue to do popular coasters. I invite you to let me know if there is anything you've seen that you'd like to have custom made. I'm always looking to broaden my skill set! Feel free to reach out.
